Luthers smile was gone again and his eyes were instantly filled with
tears, as he said "that mother fucker almost killed her. He thought he did. He didn't
just fuck her and go away. He beat the shit out of her, while he fucked her. He stabbed her
in the ribs as he came. This is a sick mother fucker. He humiliated her. He made her beg for
more. He cut her nipples off and made her beg for more. He cut her every time she cried. He
told her she had to act like she liked it. He made her call him master. And he just kept on
cutting her, all over, over and over. She had over three hundred stitches. And she still has
a few scars on her face. After a while, she played dead. She was so full of blood that she
thought he would believe it. When he thought she was dead, he jagged off on her bloody face.
After that he finally ran away. And then, when they caught him, he was right back on the street.
We showed up for the trial and he beat it. Because she didn't die, he was only charged with
rape. They found him not guilty. His lawyer humiliated my wife some more, asking her what kind
of sexy clothes she was wearing and shit like that. Oh yeah, he deserves it. I swear to God,
he deserves it. I can't think of anyone in this world who deserves it more than him."
Todd put a reassuring hand on Luthers shoulder. And with tears in his eyes too, said "I
swear to God, if you get me out, I will kill that mother fucker."
Luther
wiped his eyes on his shirt. "Here's my idea. When they call my name, you walk out there.
You act like you're me. You step in front of the judge and tell him how you just wanted your
money back. I have never been arrested before. I think they will toss it out of court, when
they hear my side. And even if they don't, just tell them that you had over a hundred dollars
on you when you was arrested. If they set bail for me, or should I say you, pay it out of that."
Todds eyes widened. "I believe that could work. The only problem is, what
about when they call my name?"
Luther smiled. "I'll worry about
that, you just get out and go kill that mother fucker for me.
"Now, when
you get out, the guy you're looking for, is named Rod Appleton and he lives on the corner of
McLean and Oakley, across from the school."
Just then, the bailiff walked
in. "Todd Bolo." Todd and Luther looked at each other. They didn't think of that
possibility, that they would call Todd first.
Then Luther stood up. "Right
here" he said and walked out with the bailiff.
Luther stepped in front
of the judge and said "your honor, I didn't get to call my lawyer yet. And without much
else, the judge said "ok, go call one and we'll call you back later."
Ten minutes later, the bailiff returned. "Luther Tucker." And Todd stood up.
Todd stepped in front of the judge and told Luthers story. The judge lectured
him for a minute and then let him go.
Todd walked out, a free man, for the
time being, wondering how much trouble Luther was in now.
Meanwhile, Luther
was taken to a room with a phone. The bailiff said "go ahead and call your lawyer, Todd."
Luther picked up the phone and called his lawyer. "I have been arrested for
disorderly conduct and they keep treating me like shit and calling me Todd. Please get me out
of this."
The lawyer answered. "I'll be there in twenty minutes,
Luther."
The bailiff came back. "Hey Todd, did you find a lawyer
yet?"
"Yes, he said he would be here in twenty minutes. And would
you quit calling me Todd, my name is Luther."
The bailiff looked puzzled.
"Then, why did you come when I called Todd Bolo?"
"I never
heard you say that. You just looked at me and said let's go."
"Well,
if you aren't Todd, then who are you?"
"My name is Luther Tucker."
The bailiff left the room quickly then. He returned ten minutes later. "Where
the fuck is Todd Bolo?"
"How should I know, I don't even know who
you're talking about." Luther answered.
"You're in a lot of trouble,
mister." The bailiff said and then left again.
Luther and his lawyer
stepped in front of the judge and the lawyer said "it was your error, assuming that he
was this Todd Bolo. You can't hold him responsible for your mistake."
The judge agreed and fined Luther one hundred dollars, which is the maximum fine for his charge.
