The Hunt

The next night, Todd put his fighting gear on and went back to the drug dealers area, by North Avenue, where he killed those drug dealers that night. He found a big dumpster and put the bodies in it. Then he drove around the block and pulled up by some drug dealers.
Before he came to a complete stop, a toothless guy covered in tattoos asked "what you need, mang?"
"I'm looking for Angel Rojas. Do you know where I can find him?" Todd asked.
The tattooed wonder looked at his bald friend and then back at Todd. "No, I don't. I never heard of him. What makes you think I would know this Angel Rojas anyway."
"He owns you, doesn't he? He owns this whole neighborhood. You're just another piece of his property, aren't you? You're just a pawn, in his chess game. Where's your boss? Come on, I haven't got all fucking day?"
The bald one reached down on the ground and picked up a brick. Todd floored it, as he threw the brick and it bounced off Todds trunk.
He went around the corner and found a few more dope dealers standing on the corner, about two blocks down.
As soon as he stopped, one asked "what you need, mang? I got rocks and bo."
Todd said "I'm looking for Angel Rojas. Could you deliver a message to him for me?"
"I don't know who you're talking about." A tall guy, with a bright orange shirt answered.
Todd shrugged. "He told me to see you guys, next time I get something good for him. I owe him a lot of money and I want to pay him. Could you at least deliver a message for me?"
The tall one turned to look at a girl who sat on a doorstep. "Lucy, go tell your brother to come here."
Lucy got up and walked into the front door of the apartment building she sat in front of. Five seconds later, a big man with a cowboy hat came out.
"What do you want, Tito?" He asked.
Tito faced him and said "this guy is looking for Angel. He said he has some money for him."
The cowboy hat walked up and asked "how much you got?"
Todd answered. "It's not really money. It's just something very valuable. I owe him a lot of money, but I want to pay him with some property."
"Who are you?" The hat asked.
Todd stuck out a hand, hoping to get a name. "My name's Alfred." He lied.
The cowboy hat looked at the hand and thought about it for a second and then grabbed it. "I'm Tony. All I can tell you is, give me your number and I'll pass it to Angel, next time I see him."
Todd responded. "I don't have a number. And besides, I stashed some shit in a garbage can around the corner. I can't just leave it there. Can I trust you to give it to Angel?"
"Yeah, you can trust me." He said, with a transparent smile.
"Just call him. Don't you have his cell phone number or something? I want him to know that Alfred pays his bills on time." Todd said, trying to look honest.
Tony pulled out a cell phone and stepped back. "Yeah, Angel? I got a guy named Alfred here. He says he owes you some money and he's got some shit stashed in a garbage can around the corner.........I tried, but he don't have a phone.........alright."    He turned toward Todd. "He doesn't remember you. What do you owe him money for?"
Todd smiled. "Oh, that's ok then. If he don't remember, then I guess I don't owe him. just tell him to forget it then."
"Wait." Tony said to Todd and then he turned toward the phone. "He's saying forget it then, if you don't remember......Oh......ok. Bye." And he hung up.
"He told me to get the shit and bring it to him." Tony said.
"No way." Todd answered. I have to give it to him myself. If not, then just forget the whole thing."
Tony pulled out a gun then and pointed it at Todd. "Scoot over." And Todd did. He got in the drivers seat and took off, still pointing the gun at Todd. "You better keep your hands where I can see them."
"I'm just an old man." Todd said. "Why, I can't even raise my hands above this." And he raised his hands about half way up.    "I'm not going to give you any trouble, even without that gun. Can't you see that? So, why don't you just put it away."
