Todd peeked out from behind the box and saw a body sprawled across the tracks. And here comes a train. He ducked behind the box again and pulled out the phone.
"Angel?" He said taunting again. "Oh, Angel."
Angel answered. "You're still alive? My brothers going to kill you slowly. He said he would." Then he laughed an evil laugh.
Todd broke in. "He's dead. I never saw a dead man kill anyone before. Have you?"
Angel answered. "You're a fucking liar. He got away. You only killed the other three."
"Didn't you hear that explosion?" Todd asked. "That was your poor little brother, going to the big street corner in the sky."    Then Todd laughed. "How many more Angel? How many more people are you going to make me kill, before I kill you?"
Angel hung up then and Todd slammed the phone against the ground, shattering it into a thousand pieces. I've got to get out of here now, he thought. And he started running toward the next station, which was Western Avenue. There were about twenty people standing on the platform, when he climbed up. He ran past them all and down the stairs. He ducked into a bathroom and changed clothes. He tossed his clothes in the garbage can, but kept his bullet-proof vest on.
While he was putting it in the can, a young punk opened the door and ran inside. He looked under the stall-doors and saw no feet. "Did you see an old man with a beard run in here?" He asked Todd.
"No, I didn't." Todd answered, as he tried to step past him.
The thug noticed a beard sticking out of the can and grabbed Todds shirt by the shoulder. "Wait a fucking minute." He said. And those were his last words. Todd grabbed his hair and slammed him into the mirror, which knocked him out. Then he bashed his head on the sink three times, splitting it wide open.
He dragged the body into a stall and then looked in the mirror. He had a little blood on his hands and face. He washed quickly and walked out. As he opened the door, he looked at the floor and saw blood on it. He looked left and right, out the doorway and nobody was coming. So, he left.
He walked quickly back to his car. He wanted to get the other phone (Tonys) and call Angel again. When he arrived at his car, he saw three guys sitting in a car, parked right behind it. So, he kept walking. He noticed another man talking on a cell phone and looking up, at the el tracks. He walked slowly past the man, trying to hear what he was saying, but couldn't.
He kept walking, turned the first corner and headed for Leavitt and Wabansia again. When he got near the corner, he saw a car with at least three guys in it. They were parked boldly on the corner. He sat on a porch, about five houses before the corner. Then he noticed Frank. He was sitting low in his pick-up. He too was parked back from the corner, about four houses. He didn't notice Todd.
Todd ducked in a gangway, between two houses. He picked up a small rock and tossed it at Franks truck. Frank looked and saw Todd. He nodded, yes.
He rolled down his window and whispered loudly. "He's in that car, right there." And pointed at the car on the corner. Todd nodded and then signaled a finger across his lips, to tell Frank to be quiet. Frank nodded and sank low in his seat.
