Ken Skaggs, Writer, Radio Announcer

Ever since he was a kid, Ken always knew he wanted to be a writer. In his late-teens and early twenties, he wrote about one hundred songs and a few short stories. In 1991 he got started in radio, working with the Stan Wallace Show on WLIP Kenosha. By the year 2000, he started writing for Ten-Four Magazine and building his own websites- BigCityDriver.com, DriverStory.com and Skaggmo.com. Although he always did a lot of writing during his life, with a family to support, he also had to make a living, so he drove a truck. Little did he know that his trucking would lead to his getting published in so many venues, and, lead him to a radio career.

This month, May of 2008, he just released a new video, Ten Keys to Safe City Driving, which is taking the trucking industry by storm. His street-wise, common-sense approach to many issues has led people to recognize his unmistakable style and this video is a compilation of what he has already been saying in his articles, at his speaking engagements and whenever he gets on the radio.

Some of the shows he's been on include Bill Mack, Truckin' Bozo, Matt McAllister, Johnny Brandmeier, the Big Show with Dave and Joe and more. He is looking to start his own syndicated radio takshow. He believes he can change the world with his advice about driving. After all, he says, "the only reason we have traffic jams is because people don't know how to drive to prevent them." If you are a PD or own a radio station, why not give his stuff a listen? His show would be the only afternoon drive show that is actually concerned about driving in the afternoon.
